Patient Experience
- Patients leave with the prescribed orthopedic treatment
- No additional trip to obtain DME
- Properly fitted products support confidence and satisfaction
EzyCare™ is a turnkey Point-of-Care DME program customized around each hospital’s patient demographics, inpatient and outpatient service levels, clinical needs, and existing workflows. The program provides access to high-quality Class I orthopedic medical devices without requiring the hospital to purchase inventory, manage replenishment, or build and operate a separate in-house DME entity.
EzyCare is designed for two distinct priorities: elevating patient care and simplifying hospital operations.
Every EzyCare program begins with understanding your hospital’s demographics, service lines, clinical needs, and current workflow.
1
We work with leadership and clinical staff to understand patient demographics, inpatient and outpatient needs, and current practices.
2
Together, we determine the ideal product mix, closet configuration, documentation process, and dispensing workflow.
3
EzyCare organizes the station and provides in-service training, videos, documentation tools, and staff onboarding.
4
Providers and caregivers select, fit, document, and dispense the appropriate orthopedic product at the point of care.
5
EzyCare monitors inventory, replenishes used products, supports billing, and helps optimize the program over time.

EzyCare works with hospital leadership, providers, and caregivers to create a product-oriented solution tailored to the facility’s demographics, clinical services, and anticipated ER, inpatient, and outpatient needs.
EzyCare addresses the clinical, operational, and reimbursement barriers that often prevent hospitals from offering a comprehensive point-of-care DME program.
| Traditional Hospital Approach | EzyCare Point-of-Care Program |
|---|---|
| Orthoglass or custom splint fabrication can require significant caregiver time | Ready-to-fit orthopedic products support faster, more consistent fitting when clinically appropriate |
| Limited product selection can become a one-solution-fits-many approach | Customized product mix supports the patient’s specific anatomical and clinical needs |
| DME may be dispensed without a practical reimbursement pathway | Program structure includes qualified DME billing and reimbursement support |
| Creating an internal DME operation may require a separate entity, licensing, accreditation, and administration | Turnkey program avoids the need for the hospital to build and manage its own DME operation |
| Hospital purchases, forecasts, stores, and reorders inventory | No upfront inventory investment; EzyCare monitors and replenishes the program inventory |
North Walton Doctors Hospital partnered with EzyCare to evaluate its clinical needs, establish a customized orthopedic product mix, implement a new point-of-care workflow, and provide ongoing program management without requiring the hospital to build its own DME operation.
One workflow improvement at North Walton Doctors Hospital was transitioning appropriate patients from custom-fabricated splints to ready-to-fit orthopedic braces when custom splinting was not clinically necessary.
Clinical appropriateness always comes first. Custom splinting remains available when clinically indicated. EzyCare provides clinicians another treatment option for patients who can be effectively treated with a ready-to-fit brace.
The EzyCare program has allowed our hospital to save money, provide our patients with excellent care and high-quality DME, and do so while not administratively burdening our staff. It is a true win-win for our hospital and our community. Andrew, CFO (Retired) — North Walton Doctors Hospital
North Walton’s implementation demonstrates how a customized EzyCare program can support the patient experience, caregiver efficiency, and hospital operations.
The program succeeds when hospital leadership supports the new workflow and EzyCare provides the evaluation, implementation, education, and ongoing management needed to sustain it.
EzyCare develops a customized product solution based on your hospital’s demographics, service lines, clinical practices, and anticipated inpatient and outpatient needs.
Product selection is developed collaboratively with hospital leadership, providers, and caregivers to support the facility’s actual clinical requirements.
