- Universal Size
- Use 1" or 2" for most pediatric finger splint applications
- Use 2" or 3" for most adult finger splint applications

- Measure proper width
- Measure length
- Cut material
- Push substrate back into foil,then back into and beyond opening of box, clip to seal foil.
- Stretch edges
- Wet splint (using preparation guidelines)
- Dry splint
- Properly apply splint
- Position as prescribed by physician

Hot water will increase the exotherm of the splint as it cures. Cool water is recomended. Instruct the patient that the splint may feel warm as it is being applied.
The finished ezysplint™ is water- resistant and can be cleaned by hand-washing with mild detergent. To dry, blot with a towel and then use a hair dryer. Advise the patient not to wear the splint when it is wet, as the moisture may cause skin irritation.
Store in a cool, dry location.

Remove splint from foil pouch. Pull padding slightly beyond substrate to cover rough edges.
|
Pass under cool faucet (70°-85° F). Roll or fold splint onto itself and squeeze out excess water. CAUTION: Hot water will increase exotherm during cure.

Lay splint on a towel and roll snugly and squeeze to remove additional water. Repeat to remove remaining water.
|
Place splint on patient and wrap with elastic bandage. Mold splint to patient's limb for 2-4 minutes until splint sets. Monitor patient according to standard procedures.
