Click to View Products for Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia, the layer of tissue that supports the arch of the foot. Repeated tears of the plantar fascia cause heel pain. Sometimes plantar fasciitis is mistakenly called a heel spur. There are a number of causes for plantar fasciitis. Improperly fit shoes or overuse (running too fast, too far, too soon) may hurt the plantar fascia. Individuals with flat feet or high arches and poor ankle alignment are at increased risk of developing plantar fasciitis. |
