Clinical studies have shown that Cryotherapy effectively reduces pain and swelling and debilitating effects of inflammation. If you use your Cryotherapy Wrap diligently, your rehabilitation time will be faster and more comfortable. The Cryotherapy Wrap is to be placed over any dressings that may be on the surgical site. Use Cryotherapy wraps over elbows, knees, ankles, swollen joints or tendons, in physical therapy, inflammatory arthritis, and for lower back pain.

Generally, these Guidelines apply

COLD THERAPY GUIDELINES

1. For first use, place Gel Bag flat in freezer for at least 2 hours.

2. Remove from freezer. Carefully insert bag into wrap pocket and apply to desired area.

3. Leave in place for about 25 minutes

4. Return bag to freezer for about 25 minutes.

5. Repeat this cycle of 25 on, 25 off as desired or as recommended by physician.

HEAT THERAPY GUIDELINES

MICROWAVE



1. Lay bag facedown with seam up in microwave.

2. Heat at full power for no longer than 35 seconds or as recommended on the bags heating chart.

3. Remove from microwave and knead bag for one minute to allow gel to heat evenly.

4. Test for desired temperature. If too hot, allow to cool. If additional heat is desired, return to microwave and heat in 10 second cycles.

5. When desired temperature is achieved, carefully insert bag into wrap pocket and apply to desired area.
