MEASURING
Forearm Length: Measure from the lateral epicondyle to the fifth metacarpo-phalangeal joint.

FITTING
When fitting "sling type" immobilizers, caution should be taken not to make the strap adjustments too short forcing the shoulder into a shrugged position. The shoulder should be maintained in a neutral position and relaxed into the sling portion of the immobilizer. A properly fitted sling should be long enough to fully support the hand and wrist but not cover the fingers.

I have an arm cast on and needed a sling to help with the constant pull and weight of the cast. This helps distribute the pull across my shoulders and keeps me from feeling a bit lopsided with the weight of this heavy cast - very easy to put on and take off. I like that I can easily adjust it and that it has a shoulder cushioning pad - very comfortable.
