The Medicare Approved Rachis Cryo™ is a dynamic and adaptable support that serves the multiple needs of the patient through a variety of post-op protocols. Rigid posterior, anterior, and lateral panels stabilize the lumbar/ lumbosacral region producing intracavitary pressure. The posterior compartment window opening provides easy access to the surgical sight, allowing contoured bags of Q4 FirstICE® or Ezy-GeL™ to be applied without removing the orthosis and without the complication of pockets, while minimizing mobilization of the spine. The Q4 FirstICE® bags are manufactured with a patented formula that provides up to four hours of continuous cryotherapy while preventing cryo burn, permitting direct application to the skin and obtaining maximum effectiveness.Buy Direct from US Manufacturer: Rachis Cryo : The Medicare Approved Rachis Cryo™ is a dynamic and adaptable support that serves the multiple needs of the patient through a variety of post-op protocols. Waist Sizing:
Measure the widest point around the umbilicus, or the widest point around the body between the mid-trochanter to mid-axilla. Proper sizing is essential for product effectiveness. The orthosis should fit tightly enough to provide even, constant pressure without having any impact on the patient's breathing.
Determining LSO posterior panel height:
The superior border of the band should be at the level of T9 - T10. Approximately 1 to 3 inches below the inferior angles of the scapula depending on physician's preference. Higher band placement results in better restriction of motion in the lumbar spine. Posteriorly the mid portion of the band should lie above the inferior edge of the sacrum and below the posterior-superior iliac spines. To achieve effective posterior distal pressure the band should be shaped to be as low as possible on the sacrum while allowing for comfort and cosmesis. It should not impinge on the patient's ribs or groin when seated.
